Summer Gallery Shows

June 22 – July 9
Virginia Weston Besse
Restrospective of the work of Virginia Besse.

This show is put together to honor our founder and major supporter, who passed away on March 8, 2008.

Her paintings and prints will be sold to benefit Featherstone Center for the Arts, as was her wish. 

Opening reception is Sunday June 22 from 4 - 6 pm.  The public is cordially invited to attend. 

July 13 - August 8
"Art in Action - What It Takes" - the process of making art with five well known Vineyard artists who will display their work and give demonstrations:  Sandy Bernat, Eva Gallant, Jennifer McCurdy,
Julia MItchell and Heather Sussman.

This is a four week interactive exhibition encompassing works of art, a video, workshops, lectures and studio visits.

With a grant from the Martha's Vineyard Cultural Council, a video of the artists' art-making processes, produced by Island videographer Richard Skidmore, will be shown continuously during the exhibition.
